Two shops gutted at Moula Ali

Two shops were gutted in a fire mishap in Moula Ali area in the city on Friday. However, no casualties were reported in the incident.

The incident took place at around 2 p m. The owner of Classic Bedwork, Md Yaqub said, ``I was in the shop all morning and went out for Friday prayers.
By the time I returned, I saw fumes bellowing.” The neighbouring furniture shop also was affected; but the loss was minimal. Smoke entered into the shop from a pipe that connects both the shops.
Vishnuchary, owner of Dhanalaxmi Woodwork, the affected shop, said that they are suspecting a short circuit for the fire accident.” The Fire Service arrived at the spot and put out the flames. Both the shop owners do not have insurance.
