Nalgonda: Police busted a three-member offenders’ team and recovered 25 tolas of gold, worth Rs 7.5 lakh besides a car, a motorcycle, a camera, a mobile phone and Rs 80,000 in cash from their possession.

The accused were identified as Repalle Narsimha (23), a labourer and a resident of Maheshwaram of Rangareddy district and native of Kuppam of Chitoor district, Iruggandla Kalayan (22), also a labourer and a native of Chandampeta of Nalgonda district and Vennela (28), a private employee and a resident of Saidabad in Hyderbad.

On a tip off, the police caught the gang during regular vehicle check at Angadipeta crossroads under Kondamallepalli police station limits on Tuesday.

Presenting the arrested before the media, SP N Prakash Reddy explained the modus operandi of the gang. He said while men of the gang were committing house breakings, the woman offender was helping in mortgaging the jewellery.

During the interrogation, offenders confessed to 13 crimes in Nalgonda district, Rachakonda Commissionarate and Hyderabad districts.
