Man arrested for rape, extortion
Rachakonda police on Wednesday arrested a 27-year-old man from Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh on charges of rape, bullying, extortion and illegal confinement of a 34-year-old woman after recording an objectionable video of her.

According to the police, the accused K Girish had given Rs 1 lakh hand loan to the victim a year ago. He came to her house in LB Nagar to collect her signature on the loan document but administered her soft drink laced with sleeping pills.
He then sexually assaulted the woman and took her nude video and pictures with his cell phone. Later, he blackmailed her to go to Anantapur with him or else threatened to post her nude video and pictures on social media.
Out of fear, the victim went to Anantapur where he confined her in a room and exploited her sexually. He also extorted her gold ornaments and borrowed Rs 1.10 lakh pledging the gold ornaments in a bank. The victim managed to escape from his clutches and lodged a case with LB Nagar police. Acting on it, police arrested the accused.
