IPS officer’s wife commits suicide
Senior IPS officer M Shiva Prasad\'s wife M Usha Rani committed suicide by hanging in their house at Prakashnagar in Begumpet on Friday. She apparently resorted to the extreme step due to prolonged illness.
Hyderabad: Senior IPS officer M Shiva Prasad's wife M Usha Rani committed suicide by hanging in their house at Prakashnagar in Begumpet on Friday. She apparently resorted to the extreme step due to prolonged illness.
According to the police, she had been suffering from serious health issues for years and the best treatment could not cure the health problems. She hanged herself in the bedroom when family members were away.
The family members noticed her hanging around 5 pm and rushed her to KIMS where doctors declared her as brought dead. Later, post-mortem was conducted at Gandhi Hospital.
Senior police officers and political leaders reached Shiva Prasad's house and consoled him. He is currently working as the additional commissioner of police, city armed reserve.
