Engineering student jumps from third floor of college, dies
An engineering student committed suicide jumping from the third floor of his college building in Seriguda area of Ibrahimpatnam on the outskirts of City on Saturday.
​Hyderabad: An engineering student committed suicide jumping from the third floor of his college building in Seriguda area of Ibrahimpatnam on the outskirts of City on Saturday.
According to the police, 21-year-old Kanigiri Bala Venkata Chaitanya, pursuing third year mechanical engineering in Sree Indu Engineering College, jumped from the third floor of the college building.
His limbs were broken and he suffered grievous wounds all over his body including head. A profusely bleeding Chaitanya was rushed to Kamineni Hospital in LB Nagar where he succumbed while undergoing treatment.
Chaitanya's father, Srinivas, was speaking to the college management when he took the extreme step. According to the police, Chaitanya was depressed as he could not clear exams and some backlogs were pending.
Depression, coupled with inferiority complex, seems to have forced him to take the extreme step, police said. A case has been registered.
