Illegal structures razed in Kukatpally
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Thursday demolished the illegal structures that were built on Telangana Housing Board land at Sainagar in Kukatpally.
​Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Thursday demolished the illegal structures that were built on Telangana Housing Board land at Sainagar in Kukatpally.
The GHMC officials, accompanied by police, visited Sainagar and evicted the occupants and later removed their huts, said Housing Board secretary RamuNayak.
The government had allotted the 100-acre land toJawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) but,the land grabbers encroached upon 10 acres of land and sold it after preparing an illegal layout in Sainagar, he said.
“We could not take any action as dispute on the land was pending in the court till now”, he said. Occupants of the land condemned the action of the Housing Board officials and prevented them from removing their houses.
