Tandur: Two persons were arrested on Thursday in a case related to sexual assault on a minor girl of Khajapur village.
According to Peddemul sub-inspector Venkat Sinu, a 17-year-old girl, resident of Khajapur in Peddemul mandal, completed Intermediate and is staying at home. A youth of the village Tadakali Srinivas attracted the girl with his glib tongue and took her into the adjacent banana plantation and outraged her modesty, the police said.
Finding her daughter not well, victim’s mother questioned her for her illness. The girl revealed everything to the mother. On a complaint by the mother, the police registered a case under the POCSO Act and sent the accused and his accomplice Tadakali Anantaiah to remand.
