The Central Crime Station (CCS) police arrested a five-member gang including a student on the charges of stealing two-wheelers and recovered 21 motor cycles worth Rs 10.5 lakh from them. The accused were identified as Gaddam Vishu (student) of Proddatur town, Posa Madhusudhan, Challa Sudarshan, Changala Srinivas of Ravindra Nagar of Kadapa city and Jalla Sivakumar of Bhavani Nagar in Kadapa city.

Kadapa: The Central Crime Station (CCS) police arrested a five-member gang including a student on the charges of stealing two-wheelers and recovered 21 motor cycles worth Rs 10.5 lakh from them. The accused were identified as Gaddam Vishu (student) of Proddatur town, Posa Madhusudhan, Challa Sudarshan, Changala Srinivas of Ravindra Nagar of Kadapa city and Jalla Sivakumar of Bhavani Nagar in Kadapa city.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, District Superintendent of Police (SP) Attada Babujee said that the accused stole the vehicles by using duplicate keys parked in colleges, schools, and business establishments. Later, they are pledging the motor vehicles to the farmers in the villages.

The modus operandi has been continuing for the last several months. Following complaints received from the public, the CCS police took up investigation and identified the accused through CCTV footage and nabbed the culprits at old Bypass Circle in the city on Wednesday morning.

The SP advised the people to change lock system once in two years. On the occasion, the SP declared rewards to the cops for nabbing the culprits. Additional SP A Srinivasulu Reddy, CCS DSP G Nageswara Reddy and others were present.
