Thief held, booty worth 16 lakh recovered
The Rachakonda police arrested a notorious thief Mogalipaka Srinivas at Yadagirigutta bus stand on Monday and recovered gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 16.4 lakh from him.

Producing the offender before the media at Yadagirigutta police station, DCP Yadagiri informed that the offender was a native of Sunkishla of Valigonda mandal and had committed crimes in Aler and Yadagirigutta police station limits.
During a regular check at Yadagirigutta bus stand, the police nabbed the accused. During interrogation, he confessed to his crimes.
Police recovered 0.5 kg gold ornaments and 2.1 kg silver ornaments besides cash of Rs 4,000 from the accused person. CI Anjaneyulu, SIs Narasimhulu, Beesanna, Lingaiah Yadav and Venkataiah and CCS police were present during the press briefing.
