2 chain-snatchers arrested in city
The Central Crime Station Detective Department (DD) on Monday arrested two chain-snatchers including, a B tech graduate for robbing a woman of her mangalsutra, who runs a grocery shop under Panjagutta police station limits.

The police identified the accused as Md Shahbazuddin alias Moulu (21) resident of Red Hills and Mustafa Khan (21) resident of Muradnagar, near Mehdipatnam. They targeted G Anitha (34) who runs a grocery shop in Venkata Ramana colony in Khairatabad.
As per her compliant, the duo visited her shop and after finding her alone they snatched away her 6 tola of gold malgalsutra by diverting her attention on October 12. “After committing offence, Shahbazuddin changed his bike colour from black to red for keeping the vehicle discreet of identification.
On the other hand, Mustafa mortgaged the booty in Darussalam Co-operative Urban Bank, for an amount of Rs 20,000. The accused along with seized property were handed over to Panjagutta police for further investigation,” said J Ranjan Ratan Kumar, Additional DCP, DD.
