4 die as tipper hits auto

Kakinada: Four passengers including wife and husband died and eight others were injured when a speeding tipper hit the autorickshaw coming in opposite direction near flyover on the National Highway at Kattipudi on Saturday.

According to Annavaram sub-inspector K Pardha Saradhi, the deceased were identified as N Srinu,30, auto driver and his wife Naga Lakshmi, 25, M Lova, 35 and B Chandra Sekhar, 40.
The SI said the mishap took place when 12 passengers proceeding to Jaggampeta from Bendapudi village in the auto to participate in a function. All passengers were belonging to Bendapudi.

Five passengers were given first aid in Kattipudi hospital and three others were shifted to Government General Hospital in Kakinada.  Autopsy was conducted to the bodies in Kattipudi and a case was registered in Annavaram police station.
