Excise Officials Beaten Up In Orissa Village

Village people have beaten Excise Officials for conducting raids in Mosanibada village in Patrapur district of Orissa state.

On a tip off, the Excise officials raided the village where bootleggers are brewing Illicitly distilled liquor and sell in the surrounding villages. Locals caught the officials and tied them to poles. They were beaten up. Irate people also removed clothes from officials and burnt them.

Alerted police immediately rushed to the village and rescued the official detained. Nearly 15 people were injured In the clashed between police and locals. The injured Excise officials were shifted to nearby medical college for treatment.
