Of PoK and Kashmir

Pakistan's terror-sponsoring Prime Minister, Imran Khan, is at it once again. A stooge of the ISI and Pak Army, this Khan is only as good or as worse as a Hafiz Sayeed. On the one hand, he shamelessly sponsors terror activities in India in the garb of Kashmiri freedom and on the other shouts from the roof tops that India is trampling the human rights in the valley. Any mirror to the Pak Occupied Kashmir would show that trampling of human rights is happening everyday - only in PoK and not in India. The Kashmiris leading a miserable life on the other side of their Indian brethren are a testimony to this.

Those are second rate citizens in the region and lead a fearful life under the hawk eyes of the ISI and Pak Army. They can not start their own newspapers or news agencies in the first place, lest the truth be exposed. They need a special permission to visit the rest of Pakistan. Moreover, all their businesses and avocations are dominated by the Pathans from northern Pakistan. Government infrastructure is lacking in every area. The region is deprived of educational opportunities and medicare.

While the Indian Army takes care of the poor in Kashmir valley during the harsh winters, Pakistan Army does not do so. Children in Indian Kashmir in the remote regions have access to schools and their parents are hired by the Indian Army on daily and weekly wages. Throughout the freezing winters, our people are given food. Even the nomads and their animals are given food and fodder. This is the Indian reality known to anyone who tours extensively the region including the interior areas. Does Pak do any of these? All that it has for the Indians is bullets and hardships.

Imran Khan is seeking international intervention in freeing the Kashmiris. He is right for once. The Kashmiris in PoK need to be liberated. This could have been done effectively by the Indians long ago. Unfortunately, our politicians just brag a lot and do little when it comes to Pakistan. One occasional strike across the border is immediately celebrated only to be politicised at once. Moreover, there is a design to Pak's renewed efforts. This rascal of a neighbour has some very good friends among the Indian polity. It is a long list. We have often heard them speak up for Pakistanis' in reverential tone calling the terrorists "Sahibs'. The same group is assuring Pakistan that Kashmir will be settled once Narendra Modi is defeated.

On its part, Pak is also assuring its people that Kashmir will be liberated once Modi goes. The recent 'janaaza' for Modi taken out in Pakistan after the Assembly results is a pointer to it. That is yet another proof of the barbarism of Pakistan. Sadly, some of our politicians enjoy running down of the Indian Prime Minister. It does not matter even if it meant joining hands with the enemy. And some call it 'love' and they prefer to hug people inside and outside parliament and beyond borders too rubbishing our defense chiefs. What a shameful conduct!
