In a shocker, senior Congress leader in Jammu and Kashmir Haji Sagheer Saeed Khan, an observer in the Minority Department of the AICC, has given terrorism in the state the ultimate backing by announcing rewards and promising jobs to those ‘suffering’ after the deaths of ‘innocent people’ (referring to terrorists), and by promising to free those terror suspects who are in prison, if the Congress party comes to power. He also promised to hang 'all the BJP leaders' soon after coming to power and release all terrorists in jails.

Kudos to Rahul Gandhi and his new Congress. Credit goes to Rahul Gandhi for the stand of this Congress leader. Nadeem Javeed who heads the AICC Minority Department later disowned the statement and said the party had nothing to do with it.

Nadeem Javeed might have said so. He is an AICC leader heading AICC Minority Department. Anyone who understands the Congress functioning - that too of the AICC - knows that every word uttered there has to have the clearance of the High Command of the party. Before taking a stand on any issue, it is much deliberated and much debated inside. The media wing goes through the nuances before vetting each and every word.

What and how should a local leader conduct is also decided by the party when they are going public. Shall we then presume that this one crore compensation announced by the party leader to terrorists getting killed has the tacit approval of the party High Command? The party, as usual, distanced itself from the remarks.

So has it from the remarks of Mani Shankar Aiyar in the past and also from the 'jhappi-loving' Navjot Sidhu who hugged Bajwa, the Pak Army chief and denigrated South India claiming he is more comfortable in Pakistan than in Tamil Nadu. Those trying to befriend Rahul Gandhi and Congress and those who have fallen for the charms of Rahul Gandhi should seek a clarification from him.

The latest gem from the Congress leadership is nothing new. In fact, leaders from the same party had gone on to claim, on enemy soil, that Pakistan should help remove Modi for peace to prevail. From remove Modi campaign to bring in terrorist slogan sounds logical to them, perhaps. Perhaps, Haji and Sidhu have taken Rahul's stand on loving everybody too seriously and started loving terrorists and terror sponsors from across the borders. They should know better.

After all, terrorists do not spare anyone. If the Congress wants to hang BJP leaders for supporting anti-terror operations in the valley, the party is welcome to hang on to the stand. Should one stoop so low to capture power in the valley? The problem with India is, it does not have a positive policy for Kashmir. National interests should not be compromised for petty politics. Leaders like Haji will not be doing any favour to Rahul in the long run. Pakistan has a clear policy on Kashmir, even after a change in its government. How about us? Are you listening Rahul Baba?
