Hyderabad: Did you know that India currently has nearly 2.5 lakh charted accountants (CAs) and will need five lakh in the coming decades when it turns into the third largest economy in the world? Well, with increasing requirement for CAs, the need for good CA coaching institutes becomes imperative. Keeping this in view, 16-year-old Mumbai-based CA coaching institute Professional Academy launched its first centre in Hyderabad in association with Chanakya Academy for Management and Professional Studies (Champs) here on Saturday.

Speaking at the inaugural function held, CA J Venkateswarlu, central council member of the Institute of Charted Accountants of India, said, "As the economy of the country will strengthen, there will be a need for more, and importantly, ethical charted accountants. Along with teaching the students what is there in the curriculum, there is a need to also teach them to follow ethical practices."
The chief guest of the evening, K Ramachandra Murthy, editor-in-chief of The Hans India newspaper and HMTV, in his speech, said that it's time businesses happened in a law abiding fashion and charted accountancy should play a role in it.
