180 tech papers presentation @ CBIT’s Synapse 2k14. A host of technical papers presentation and fun events marked the first day of the technical and cultural extravaganza Synapse 2k14 on Friday.
Hyderabad: A host of technical papers presentation and fun events marked the first day of the technical and cultural extravaganza Synapse 2k14 on Friday. The national tech fest organised by the department of electronics and communications engineering of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology here has attracted students from across the country.
Speaking at the inauguration of the tech fest as the chief guest, senior scientist of Defence Research Development Organisation Chakravarthi compared the technical knowhow of the older generation with the current one. He exhorted students to come up with new technologies that are not only useful for them, but also for the society and the future generations as well.
Quiz-O-Tronics, Circuitrix, Tech & Luck, E-Waste and Electronic crossword were arranged in the technical segment. While in the robotics, to name a few, robo soccer autobots engange were conducted. Apart from the technical events, students from various colleges took part in slow biking, penalty shoot-outs and tug of wars. Students proved their mettle in the tug of wars. In the cultural segment, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Just Nach, and Jabardasth were organised.
“Students from across the country have come here to participate in the event. We received 180 papers for presentation on VLSI, embedded system, signal processing system. Of 180, 80 were officially selected upon scrutinisation and were presented in the event,” said Ravi, member of the organisation committee.
The two-day event will conclude with prize distribution and valedictory function on Saturday. HMTV and The Hans India are the media partners for the two-day event. The Quiz-O-Tronics and other technical events will take place on Saturday as well.
