Hyderabad: Entrance test for admission into the prestigious Ramaiah IIT Institute will take place on Sunday (April 27) from 9 am to 1: 15 pm. Venues of the test are: Osmania University College of Engineering, College of Technology, College of Distance Education (PGRCDE) and Ideal Degree and Junior College at Dilsukhnagar.
As many as 3575 boys and 1575 girls –from AP, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Odisha are expected to take the test, according to Chukka Ramaiah, Convener of the IIT Institute.
Aspirants are advised to reach their respective centres well before the commencement test, Ramaiah said.
Ramaiah IIT exam, primarily tests the conceptual base of the student. The questions are generally from the academy books but not the general ones.
Ramiah, an expert in IIT coaching, takes around 125 students from the test. 25 per cent of the seats are allotted to students of socially backward classes and rural areas.
