Business Data Analysis workshop at HBS
Hyderabad Business School (HBS), a constituent of GITAM University, organised a workshop on ‘Business Data Analysis Using SPSS’ at their campus on Wednesday. Prof Prasada Rao, Director of HBS inaugurated the one-day workshop. SPSS is used by market researchers, health researchers, survey companies, government, education researchers, marketing organizations, data miners, and in many other fields.

Prof Prasada Rao, Director of HBS inaugurated the one-day workshop. SPSS is used by market researchers, health researchers, survey companies, government, education researchers, marketing organizations, data miners, and in many other fields.
Speaking at the programme Prasada Rao said, “Researchers should learn the process of systematically applying statistical tools to describe, illustrate and evaluate data.” He also highlighted the importance of using statistical tools like SPSS for analysing research data. “It is the analysis by statistical tools that provides uniqueness to every researcher’s work,” he added.
Participants included the research scholars of Hyderabad Business School. They were made to analyse large data sets related to key business domains. The workshop was facilitated by Maheswara Reddy, an expert in SPSS and data analytics from a reputed national institute.
