Private medical college fees has been hiked in Telangana with 10 percent of the management quota seats fee witnessing a hike from Rs 2.4 lakh an annum to Rs 9 lakh.


Nevertheless, the NRI quota seats and convener fees have not been touched with Rs 11 lakh and Rs 60, 000 per annum respectively. Whereas in minority medical colleges, the convener seats fee has been cut down to 50 percent from 60 percent and NRI seats has been reduced from Rs 12 lakh to Rs 11 lakh.


In private dental colleges, fee for the convener quota is Rs 45,000, fee for B category seat is Rs 4 lakh and C category NRI seats fee is Rs 5 lakh per annum while fee for B and C category seats is Rs 2.7 lakh per annum in minority dental colleges.


Health Medical and Family Welfare department issued a government order where in it was stated that the MCET-AC entrance test admission rules have been modified as the seats will be filled via the committee for admission represented by TPMDCMA. The merit standards will be counted from those who qualify in the MCET which is held by a third party engaged for the purpose by the managements association.
