MANUU Introduced M.A. In Sociology This Academic Year. The Department of Sociology at Maulana Azad National Urdu University is introducing M.A. in Sociology for the current academic year, 2015-16, for Urdu knowing students.
Hyderabad: The Department of Sociology at Maulana Azad National Urdu University is introducing M.A. in Sociology for the current academic year, 2015-16, for Urdu knowing students.
The course is specifically designed for candidates who wish to make career in the field of sociology. Through this course the University wishes to provide professional knowledge and field work experience to the students.
The course would include weekly individual conferences, presentations, field trips and works and submission of dissertation, besides exploration and nurturing the creative dimensions and commitment among the students. The University has a highly trained and professional faculty for Sociology.
“Sociology as a subject is in great demand in corporate houses, NGO's, and organizations like UNICEF, UNEPA, UNDP, UN etc. It is also in demand in teaching,” Head of the Department Prof. P. H. Mohammed said.
The admission in M.A. Sociology will be on merit basis. Graduates in any discipline with minimum 40% marks are eligible to seek admission.
Prof. Mohammed said that filled-in application forms along with the relevant documents should be submitted to Head of the Department at the latest by 2nd of July, 2015.
