Hyderabad: The Wild Wisdom Quiz, an initiative of WWF- India and Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) is back with its eighth edition. Scheduled to roll out across schools in July 2015, culminating with the national final to be held in October 2015, the quiz aims to provide students a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the wildlife of India, build their interest towards the rich natural legacy and inspire them to work towards its conservation.

Keeping in tune with United Nation’s declaration of 2015 as the ‘International Year of the Soil’, this year’s quiz will highlight the importance and conservation of soil. The quiz will test children’s aptitude and knowledge on soil, minerals, evolution, climate change and sustainability, apart from issues on Indian wildlife and global biodiversity.

The quiz is open for students of classes III to XII in three respective categories: Junior School (Classes 3-5), Middle School (Classes 6-8) and High School (Classes 9-12). Registrations for Junior and Middle Schools are open till July 31 2015, while the High School quiz, which is an online version, is open till October 2015. Schools will have to register themselves on www.wwfindia.org/wildwisdomquiz for participation.

The national final for the middle school will be held on October 7 2015 in New Delhi. The winners of the Wild Wisdom Quiz 2015 will be taken on an adventure trip to a national park and the city winners will receive WWF goodies. The camp experience will provide students with an opportunity to live amidst nature and witness it in full glory. The students will also take part in multiple adventure sports during this trip.
