Relation Between ‘Uniqueness And Reason’ – HR Message From Vampire Bats. Vampire bats are different because they have to be different when compared to other species of bats. Vampire bats are different because they have to be different when compared to other species of bats. Unless one employs an array of techniques, success cannot be achieved is the message, the small vampire bats conveys to the corporate.

Most species of vampire bats are small in size when compared to the large fruit eating bats, collectively called as flying fox or mega chiroptera. The vampire bats eat the blood of largely the vertebrates. Look at the fact that how the vampire bats are supported by the evolution to be real ‘vampires’.

No animal can afford to have big body size if it wants to silently suck the blood of other animals without causing pain to the host. Most occasions, the host animal will not even know that the vampire bats have attacked them. The small size really helps them to do so. While collecting the blood, the anticoagulant in the saliva of the bats ensures the continuous flow of blood (prevent clotting) from its host.

The other most important adaptation of vampire bats is that they can easily land of ground and can move like a hopping frog. The bats in general never lands on floor or ground. Once they do so, they will find it hard to take off as both their wings and legs are extremely weak. They have to drop at least 4 feet down, only then they can fly.

Interestingly, the vampire bats can easily land on ground or they have learned to do so because of their unique food habits. They avoid landing on animals directly. At night, when the animal is at sleep, the vampire bats prefer to do their skirmish. They have to approach the host stealthily. To do so, they have to land on ground first and not on the host animal. Once they land, they move towards the host by jumping like a frog.

If other species of their counter part, especially the flying fox were ever land on ground, they have to be there unless someone helps them to fly.

The management message to be learned is that one must know ones skills and uniqueness before adventure anything. Landing on ground helps the vampire bats to be successful whereas if the fruiting eating bats ever do so will suffer the worst. If the vampire bats ever feel proud about their above ability over fruit eating bats, the fruiting bats can equally mock at the vampire bats for their ‘miniscule’ size. Fortunately, neither of them ever engages in such comparison or debate. They know their ability, strength and uniqueness and use the same to achieve success.

Do not look at the ability or uniqueness of others. They are unique because of some necessity to be so like vampire bats as they have to be small, should able to land on ground, should able to move on ground etc. Such uniqueness is not there with flying fox because they do not need such uniqueness. They are fruiting eating bats, arboreal in nature and hence why should they land on ground.

Before comparing with others, understand that someone is unique because of a reason. You are so because you have to be so and that is what the reason is.
