He advised the Faculty & other members of the MANUU community to keep focus on the mandate of the University.

He also stressed the need to make the students of the University well equipped with the demands of the market. They need to be equally competent in English, he said and stressed the need to sharpen the soft skills of the students pursuing professional courses. Proper follow up is required to implement the MOUs signed with prominent industries so that the students get proper exposure, he said. Mr. Sareshwala acknowledged the prominent role played by the first three Vice Chancellors of MANUU, including Prof. Mohammad Miyan, who completed his tenure recently.
He referred the recently held conference at Mumbai “Power of Education”, where Mr. Devander Phadnavis, Chief Minister, Maharashtra, announced to establish Urdu medium schools in the state. He agreed to allot land for MANUU to establish its campus. This was an effort to open a contact between the government & the minorities, he said. This kind of Seminars will also be organized at Hyderabad, Varansi & Patna.
Prof. Khwaja M Shahid, Vice Chancellor In charge, apprised the Chancellor about the progress of the University & given the details of the admission process. Prof S.M Rahmatullah, Registrar I/c, requested the Chancellor to provide guidance in obtaining additional grants from the UGC. Quality of education is more important than the medium of instruction, he remarked. Deans from various Schools and directors of Centres were present.
Prof. Mohd Zafaruddin, Director, Centre for Urdu language, literature & Culture, presented the Chancellor a copy of newly published book by the Centre on Famous Poet, Writer & Activist, Ali Sardar Jafferi, on the occasion.
