Air India’s Maharaja Scholars offer

Hyderabad: India’s national carrier Air India provides student travellers the benefit of extra baggage allowance on their international travel. Maharaja Scholars offer is available for students travelling from India to international destinations on a valid student/student exchange visa. This offer is valid till March 31, 2016.

Maharaja Scholars is specifically designed to cater to the students travelling to USA, UK, Europe, Russia, Japan and Australia. The offer allows an extra piece of luggage weighing up to 23kg, in addition to the current checked baggage allowance of one piece of luggage for the UK and Europe, or two pieces of luggage for destinations in the US and Canada.

Air India also has decided to have penalty waivers, a waiver of cancellation charges if proof of visa rejection is provided. Students who are flying to any city in US, Australia or Europe need not take a transit visa as Air India operates direct flight to these places.
