Instructor or tutor, this would depend on how good you are in imparting your knowledge above your ability to play. It could be either private or at a school/college/music school, or on a website. Directing and composing: You can compose for TV shows, live band, theatre etc.
You can make theme tunes or even make movie scores or pop hits. As a director you’ll lead groups in performances and practices. Session work/ session musician performer: Playing for a live audience, a solo performance or in a band.Owning/ working in music retail. It's an old and much-maligned profession but there are still opportunities.
As a freelance guitar player or performer you’ll need to market yourself. You can put up a blog or a website to promote yourself. You can upload your videos on Youtube, Myspace, etc it is up to you to network your way to success. You can also get into the publishing side of music - transcribing works for publication.
