MCI Approves MBBS From Avalon University School Of Medicine, Curacao. The Medical Council of India (MCI) has approved the MBBS or its equivalent course from Avalon University School of Medicine, Curacao.

The Medical Council of India (MCI) has approved the MBBS or its equivalent course from Avalon University School of Medicine, Curacao.

MCI has stated that the matter was considered by the Executive Committee at its meeting held on 21st August 2014 at council office in which it approved the recommendations of the Registration & Equivalence Committee meeting held on 24.06.2014.

The committee recommended as the medical qualification is now approved by the respective country and the documents for the same have been submitted and verified (WHO Recognition, IMED Recognition, Ministry of Health Curacao, Indian Embassy), the adverse remarks on the circular dated 16.04.2013 placed on the website is recommended for removal and the Applicants from India can seek admission into Avalon University to pursue MBBS or its equivalent degree.

The committee further recommended that the applicants pursuing their medical degree from the Avalon University must clear the Licensing exam (Screening Test Act 2002) and qualify as per 14 (a) of IMC Act 1956, before issuing the registration of their degree by the council.
