A successful life…

A successful life is of someone who must be able to set goals and accomplish them. There is a common denominator for a truly successful life, and it is the ability to include wisdom, faith in a higher being, and peace, altogether. Wisdom is the ability to be a good judge and weigh one’s merits and demerits and work accordingly.

Faith is an understanding that we are just part of the creation of something bigger than us that is unexplainable. Success is never reached unless you have peace. Being able to have self-knowledge, and act according to what is in the best interest for us and the people who surround us is wisdom.

The reason most of our leaders are old is because they are wiser and have more knowledge. They have lived longer lives, and they have more experience, which usually makes them have a better judgment. There is an old Spanish saying, which states that ‘the devil knows more for being old, than for being the devil.’

Success cannot be accomplished if one cannot take advice and learn from somebody else’s mistakes. Wisdom is the ability to observe something and come to the conclusion of whether the results are good or bad. Yet another common denominator for true success is the ability to be in touch with our own spirituality.

To be able to look at ourselves, as small beings of a much bigger creation and know that our creator is something much bigger than we, makes us take decisions that not only benefit ourselves but also the people who surround us. The only thing that separates human beings from other animals is the ability to believe in something that is beyond what we can see, touch, or smell; this is the belief in a higher being.

Faith in a higher being is what makes us respect each other and deter us from doing any wrong. Sharing, helping each other, and being able to love our descendant’s future more than our own lives are all examples of how our spirituality makes us successful.
