Azim Premji Foundation has antttnounced its annual fellowship programme starting December 14, 2015. Applications for this programme are invited from people having 3 to 10 years of work experience, with a post-graduate or a professional degree in any discipline and the desire to contribute to quality and equity in education.

Hyderabad: Azim Premji Foundation has antttnounced its annual fellowship programme starting December 14, 2015. Applications for this programme are invited from people having 3 to 10 years of work experience, with a post-graduate or a professional degree in any discipline and the desire to contribute to quality and equity in education.


The fellowship carries a monthly stipend of Rs 27000. The programme aims to give a novel experience of the educational and social space to a broad range of people across sectors. Last date for submitting the application is September 15, 2015. Selection is based on an online assessment followed by personal interviews.


The fellowship is a two year full-time program where the first year will involve teaching in government schools and participating in the activities of the Field Institutes of the Foundation. This will enable the Fellows to build a deeper understanding of public education and develop their perspective.


The second year would be focused on hands-on projects and capacity building of the fellows, preparing them for roles they can play in the Field Institute after completing the fellowship.Sudheesh Venkatesh, Chief People Officer of Azim Premji Foundation said, “We know there are several people working in various organisations and have a heart and mind for social change.


This is an opportunity for them to get to know first-hand about the working environment, challenges and the satisfaction one can get while working to improve the quality and equity in school education in India.”
