Many may not know about the secret of how male-female ratio is maintained in the world of crocodile. The truth is that when crocodile lay its eggs, the eggs are neither differentiated as male nor as female eggs. Only the incubation temperature defines and determines the sex of the baby crocodiles that hatch out from the eggs.
The experimental studies have proven that the incubation temperature of the eggs only determines the sex. Depending upon the temperature, the entire eggs shift to either female or male crocodiles. Scientifically this phenomenon is called ‘TSD’ (temperature dependent sex determination).
In a sense, the eggs of crocodiles when laid are extremely open to switch to either of the sex depending upon the environment where they are incubated. Is TSD the sign of primitive or advances evolution? Do crocodiles have the wisdom and intelligence to know what sex ratio they require in the given breeding period? Do they take population census and male-female ratio in their population? Do they incubate the eggs accordingly to maintain and achieve the desired sex ratio?
Difficult to answers such questions. In the field of evolution, questions are always ‘definite’ and the answers are relatively ‘vague and presumptive’. It is as simple as the job responsibilities and the results expected from every employee, which is defined. However the level of performances and the effort of each employee and the non subjective performance appraisal process of in the corporate are quite vague.
A most important message the corporate and its HR must learn from the science of TSD. The work style, the behaviour, the attitude, the commitment and the culture reflected by most employees are always in line with the culture and the values of the organization.
The bad or good work ethics of the employees are largely contributed by the culture of the organization. None of the employees ever carry such traits or anomalies when they join the corporate.
The female or male crocodile that come out of the eggs are more due to the temperature at which they were incubated. Similarly the useless employees are the true byproducts of bad HR culture that is prevalent in the corporate.
Unless and until the cause is diagnosed and treated, eliminating the symptoms never offer any health benefits to the corporate. The HR needs to be sensitive not just in securing their job but in securing the overall welfare of the organization and wellbeing of its people.
When compared to MNC’s, single man driven corporate suffer a lot from such problems as MNC’s believes and follows certain systems and values whereas in single man led corporate, the entire power rests in the hands of ‘sycophants’ and ‘yes boss or yours obediently people’.
Every event in nature has a strong management message for the corporate to learn and all they need is only sensitivity not to just learn but to cognize and understand.
