Govt school debars student from exam. In a bizarre incident, a student of the Government High School, Dhoolpet, on Tuesday was not allowed to take an exam as his mother and aunt had quit their jobs in the school as the management did not pay them salaries for past three months.
Hyderabad: In a bizarre incident, a student of the Government High School, Dhoolpet, on Tuesday was not allowed to take an exam as his mother and aunt had quit their jobs in the school as the management did not pay them salaries for past three months.
Sohail, a student of the Government High School, who went to appear for the Summative-1 examination, was in for a rude shock as the management took away his question paper and answer sheets midway during the examination. The boy alleged that the management told him to bring his parents for work if he wanted to appear for the exam.
According to Sohail, his mother and aunt have been working with the school for the last 15 years. However, they left their duties as the school management allegedly stopped their salaries. Sohali’s mother Zareena Begum alleged that the school management had stopped three months salaries.
Interestingly, three siblings of Sohail studied in the same school and did not face embarrassing situation like this. The parents alleged that school managements bore a grudge on their ward and stopped him from appearing for the examination. All their efforts to reach Hyderabad District Educational Officer for justice went in vain.
Zareena said they were highly disappointed with the behavior of the school management. Hyderabad District Educational Officer M Somi Reddy said when he enquired with the headmaster of the school, he said Sohail was allowed to take the examination.
“The principal told me that the school had asked the student to bring his parents but he was not stopped from writing the examination,” he added. However, the parents alleged that the school authorities were covering up the incident.
