Those who achieve great things generally believe they can improve and grow as people.

This is called a growth mindset,” said former cricketer and corporate trainer Harimohan. He gave a guest lecture on ‘Mindset for Success’ at Hyderabad Business School (HBS), a constituent of GITAM University on 12th October, 2015.

Those who get frustrated in their attempt to realise their dreams tend to believe their abilities and talents are static, they have a fixed mindset, he told the budding managers.

“Pay attention to your thoughts and see if you frequently tell yourself anything similar. If so, you've spotted the fixed mindset at work, undermining your potential for success,” he added.

He explained at length about the importance of effort, setting high standards, learning attitude and using the resources in a purposeful way. He mainly oriented the students on getting greater success in their life.
