The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC), which introduced biometric system as a security measure to avoid impersonation in the Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT), has decided to extend the service to its offline examination (pen and paper) too.

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC), which introduced biometric system as a security measure to avoid impersonation in the Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT), has decided to extend the service to its offline examination (pen and paper) too.

To this effect, the Commission has taken a decision that the offline examination for the post of Managers (Engineering) in the HMWS&SB department will have a biometric system.

A biometric left hand thumb impression of each candidate will be captured at the examination centre along with a bar code printed on the hall ticket in both the morning and afternoon sessions. The candidates can download hall tickets from www.tspsc.gov.in which will be available from Tuesday.

As many as 86,519 candidates will be appearing for the examination on November 1 in two sessions i.e. from 10 am to 12.30 pm and from 2.30 pm to 5 pm. There are 132 test centres in Hyderabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Warangal. The exam will

be an OMR-based objective type test.

To enable candidates to complete the biometric verification and other formalities, the candidates will be allowed into the examination centre from 8.30 am to 9.30 am for the morning session and from 1.15 pm to 2.15 pm for the afternoon session.

The candidates should carry a valid photo identity card apart from the hall-ticket.

All electronic gadgets including mobiles and calculators would not be allowed into the examination hall.
