Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) Education Division conducts National Elocution Competition (NEC) every year. Dr. Anupama Koneru, State Co-ordinator, NEC-2015, conducted Telangana State Round NEC at Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Pharmacy, under the stewardship of Dr. T. V. Narayana Chairman, IPA – Education Division and Dr. Nagarjuna Reddy, National Convener, NEC–2015 on the topic “Safe Use of Antibiotics Saves Lives.”

Preliminary round winners from various Pharmacy Institutions of Telangana participated in the State Round. The participants were adjudged by a three member panel that included Mr. Krishna Prasad, CEO, CITO Health Care, Dr. Anjaneyulu, ENT Surgeon, Asian ENT and Dr. Nirmala Nair, HOD, English Dept., Muffakham Jah College of Engineering & Technology. Dr. Mir Akbar Ali Khan, Treasurer, Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society announced the winners and congratulated all the participants.

Ms. Ammarah Moinuddin of Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Pharmacy won the first prize followed by Ms. Sri Haritha P. of Centre for Pharmaceutical Sciences, JNTUH and Ms. N. Soundarya of Teegala Ram Reddy College of Pharmacy second and third prizes respectively.
