Workshop on entrepreneurship development at MITS

Hyderabad: Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science, Entrepreneurship Development Cell organised a two-day workshop on “Entrepreneurship Development”for MBA & MCA students at its campus in Madanapalle on Tuesday.

MV Somasekhar, Chief Manager, National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Hyderabad, was the chief guest at the event. He addressed the gathering and created awareness on starting of small scale organisations and self-employment.

He further said that these days students of engineering, management and computer applications are not aware of the several schemes and opportunities provided by the central government and several state governments in India.

“The central government prestigiously started “Make in India” programme for strengthening our manufacturing sector in order to increase employment opportunities, income generation and elimination of poverty from India. So students after completing their degrees should not wait for employment, instead should start their own organisation and create more employment.

As young minds students have a bundle of ideas and they need to try and work towards them. Many banks and financial institutions in India and existing corporates are willing to provide financial assistance to the projects,” he added. “Today start-ups have more prominence in India, so students have to grab the opportunities and become role models for the next generations,” he said.
