In a first of its kind, three of the schools of TSWREI Society have been selected in a nationwide contest by the reputed organization “Design for Change” (DFC) based at Ahmedabad in Gujarat State. DFC received over 2512 stories of change from 27 states of India. After a rigorous evaluation process by some of the best design minds in the world, these stories have been shortlisted among the top 100 DFC stories of the year.

Hyderabad: In a first of its kind, three of the schools of TSWREI Society have been selected in a nationwide contest by the reputed organization “Design for Change” (DFC) based at Ahmedabad in Gujarat State. DFC received over 2512 stories of change from 27 states of India. After a rigorous evaluation process by some of the best design minds in the world, these stories have been shortlisted among the top 100 DFC stories of the year.

The press release adds: ‘It is a moment of great pride for the Society that the school children of TSWR Mittapally, Medak, for their project entitled ‘How to get rid house fly’, TSWR Gowlidoddi, Ranga Reddy, for their project entitled ’ Solve the problem of water scarcity’ and TSWR Alair, Nalgonda, for their project entitled ‘Low cost bamboo shoe rack’ brought laurels with their outstanding projects. These projects prepared by the students are about social changes affecting their school or community through their participation.

The DFC honours the top 100 stories of change and the educator who inspires their children to lead the change.The “Design for Change” is a non-profit organization conceptualized and promoted by Riverside International School. The DFC conducts competitions among the School children at national level in bringing about changes through their projects and ideas which leave a direct revolutionary social impact. Dr. R.S. Praveen Kumar, the Secretary, TSWREI Society has applauded both the teachers and the winners from these institutions.
