Hyderabad: University Grants Commission (UGC) has sanctioned a major research project to Dr. Malempati Srimannarayana, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, School of Technology (GST), GITAM University, Hyderabad Campus.
The project entitled as “A green approach to beta – substituted gama–amino acids and beta2 – amino acids via Betti’s base and its applications”.
The duration of the project is 3 years and the objective of the project is to “Synthesis and test the biologically activity of optically active - and -amino acids, including the enzyme inhibitor -aminobutyric acid (GABA) analogues”.
