GAT from April 19
The GITAM University announced that GITAM Admission Test (GAT) will be held from April 19 to May 8.
Hyderabad: The GITAM University announced that GITAM Admission Test (GAT) will be held from April 19 to May 8.
Addressing newspersons at a hotel here on Wednesday, University vice-chancellor Prof. G Subrahmanyam said the last date for receipt of filled-in applications for GAT is April 2. The online examination will be held in 44 centres across the country.
He further said students can book online slots from April 11 to 15 and hall tickets can be downloaded from April 11.
Subrahmanyam informed that two innovative programmes in MTech in data sciences at Visakhapatnam campus and MTech in computer Aided design, manufacture and engineering at Hyderabad campus would be introduced from academic year 2016-17.
The vice-chancellor said the University offers 10 B Tech, two six-year dual degrees, 17 M Tech, B Pharma, M Pharma and Architecture programmes at Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Bengaluru campuses.
The University officials said the 100 per cent fee waiver would give to the top rankers and 50 per cent for 11 to 100 ranks in GAT 2016.
The candidates can apply online through GITAM website www.gitam.edu and applications are also available throughout the country in select branches of Union Bank of India, Indian Bank and Karur Vysya Bank. The applications can also be obtained from director admissions GITAM University. The candidates have to register by paying Rs 1000 for boys and Rs 600 for girls in form of DD in favour of GITAM University, payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank.
