IcfaiTech to host Industry-Academia Conclave
Icfai Tech, Faculty of Science & Technology, Hyderabad is organising one-day Industry-Academia conclave on Saturday at ICFAI University Campus, Shankarpally Road, Hyderabad. The conclave will have a panel discussion on two themes namely industry expectations from the engineering education and modalities of extending industry support to the academia.
Hyderabad: Icfai Tech, Faculty of Science & Technology, Hyderabad is organising one-day Industry-Academia conclave on Saturday at ICFAI University Campus, Shankarpally Road, Hyderabad. The conclave will have a panel discussion on two themes namely industry expectations from the engineering education and modalities of extending industry support to the academia.
Senior executives from major industries in the country will participate and deliberate on some of the most urgent and pressing issues faced by the industry when it comes to employing fresh engineering graduates. It has been voiced several times by industry big-wigs and with concern on the quality and skill set of the fresh engineering graduates. The employability factors of the fresh graduates have come in for question and engineering curriculum, quality of teaching has faced criticism.
In-order to address such issues, IcfaiTech has decided to take an initiative in organising the industry-academia conclave. The conclave would try to find possible solutions to the issues raised by the industry.
Prominent industries representing at the conclave are, L&T-IT, Reliance Industries, ITC, India Cements, ADP, Virtusa, Mahindra & Mahindra, IOCL and DLRL. Over 100 executives from various industries are expected to attend the conclave.
