Today’s managers have to be lifelong learners and it is key to success and growth, said Dr Satish Ailawadi, director of Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Hyderabad on Friday.
Delivering his inaugural address at a business quiz programme “Inquizzite” in the IMT campus, Dr Satish Ailawadi underscored the need for every manager to have skills of HR manager as people management skills were key to corporate success.
Around 85 teams each comprising two students from prominent colleges like ISB, IMT Hyderabad, NMIMS, VJIM, GITAM, HSB took part in the business quiz programme, which was jointly organized by CII and ICICI Bank.
In fast changing business landscape, there is a need for young professionals who have adequate grounding in Human Resources (HR) concepts and principles. The quiz programme is particularly relevant campus as commercial organizations are large social institutions shaping the lives of the youth in the country.
The business quiz programme was aimed at promoting professionals with strong fundamentals in Human Resources (HR) domain. It has been a huge success for last two years with more than 500 teams participating every year across all geographies, institutes and corporates. Regional-level competitions have been conducted in Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad.
