Delivering a talk on ‘Geostrategic Challenges to India’s National and Human Security’ at the ICFAI University campus, he referred to India as an accidental nation state surrounded by neighbors struggling with varying degrees of instability. According to him, one cannot have national security without human security they need to understand the underlying interconnectedness of poverty, desperation, religious fanaticism and identity politics.
