MRCS exam to be held at KIMS

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCS Ed) will conduct the Intercollegiate Final MRCS examinations (MRCS - Membership of Royal College of Surgeons) at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) in Hyderabad on November 27 and 28.

Hyderabad: The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCS Ed) will conduct the Intercollegiate Final MRCS examinations (MRCS - Membership of Royal College of Surgeons) at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) in Hyderabad on November 27 and 28.

Some 100 Doctors from all over India and South Asian Countries will be taking the final component of the MRCS exam. This is the fourth time for RCS Ed to conduct the examination in Hyderabad in the 500 year history of the Royal College.

The Royal College has been conducting the FRCS examinations in the United Kingdom for several centuries. Earlier, the practice was to appear for the Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) examinations directly.

However, now it is mandatory to appear for the MRCS exam before appearing for FRCS, the facility for which has been created in Hyderabad and the city now will be on the world map of the Royal College with this examination now being held in Hyderabad regularly.
