Delhi: Globsyn Group, which owns the company Globsyn Skills (a National Skill Development Corporation joint venture) launches SkillsXchange, India’s first portal connecting Skills and Jobs – another innovative first from the Group.

SkillsXchange allows skilled youth to find relevant career opportunities and corporates to find resources with skills tailored for the job requirements. The portal, with its intelligent algorithm, provides preemptive recommendations to both the skilled youth and the corporates, connecting right people to the right jobs. A fluid, user-friendly and data-rich portal, SkillsXchange also allows registered members to locate and enroll in training centers around them and build skills necessary for jobs listed by corporates. Globsyn’s Corporate Relationship Program (CRP) team is working with various corporates on their resource requirements and around 200 of them would be included in the platform during the first quarter of 2016.Since 2012, Globsyn Skills has trained over 75,000 trainees across 490+ centers in 21 states, and these trainees would be the first of many who would be benefitting from SkillsXchange.

Globsyn has left a mark in each of the verticals that it works in and has many firsts to its name, including the conceptualization of ‘Infinity’ in 1996 – India's first truly intelligent 'Plug n Play' infrastructure, the model around which Software Parks have been developed in India, pioneering the Knowledge Finishing School™ System in 1997, and launching the first ‘Corporate B-School’ in 2002 – Globsyn Business School. Globsyn was the first company to introduce programs that conform to its concept of EduSkills, launched in 2014 – which is the merger of relevant education and qualitatively good skills, interwoven with technology – being one of the rare organizations with experience in both traditional academic education and the evolving vocational skill development domains. With the launch of SkillsXchange – a first of its kind virtual labor market exchange – Globsyn Group wants to leverage technology to connect Sector Skill Council certified skilled youth to the corporates.

Commenting at the launch of SkillsXchange, Bikram Dasgupta, founder and Executive Chairman, Globsyn Group said, “Globsyn's Innovation in the area of Education and Skills through Technology, takes a giant leap today. Globsyn today, integrates Education and Skills to Jobs, through the use of Technology. For the last 19 years, Globsyn has been at the forefront of Knowledge Innovations, to make employability reach the common man. Globsyn brought Technology and Management together through its pioneering concept of Knowledge Finishing School System in 1997. Earlier in 2014, we conceptualized EduSkills – the coming together of Education and Skills. And today, we are going one step further in integrating these through a labor market exchange platform called SkillsXchange. For Globsyn, there is no end to Innovation." Rahul Dasgupta, Managing Director, Globsyn Skills said, “This is a great initiative by the Globsyn Group. We look forward to integrating Sector Skill Councils, Corporates and Certified Students using this

labor market exchange platform - SkillsXchange. This is a positive step towards our country’s vision of building a Skilled India.”

SkillsXchange is an initiative that intends to provide a self-propelling structure to the skills ecosystem and build a space for all the stakeholders concerned. Globsyn’s virtual labor market exchange platform has been built to make skills aspirational by promoting ‘Skill Certificate’ as a value driver for industry engagement and allowing skilled youth to improve their career opportunities through the employment avenues readily made available to them on this platform. SkillsXchange would bring to the corporate community value-added recruitment solutions and would encourage them to recognize the 'Skill Certificate' by offering a higher pay grade to certified youth.
