Things are not going to always go your way and sometimes you feel as though you have tried every option and just keep on hitting a brick wall – I can relate! The difference between success and failure is whether you choose to persist, not giving up on yourself and giving it your all!

Whenever you make a mistake or get knocked down by life, don't look back at it too long. Mistakes are life's way of teaching you. Your capacity for occasional blunders is inseparable from your capacity to reach your goals.

No one wins them all, and your failures, when they happen, are just part of your growth. Shake off your blunders. How will you know your limits without an occasional failure? Never quit. Your turn will come

Things are not going to always go your way and sometimes you feel as though you have tried every option and just keep on hitting a brick wall – I can relate! The difference between success and failure is whether you choose to persist, not giving up on yourself and giving it your all!

So, when going gets tough, you have to go outside of your comfort zone to search for solutions; which is a good thing! Because as soon as we open ourselves up to new experiences, we grow as individuals (for example, a new business owner may not know anything about marketing, but you may be forced to design an advert for your new business launch). By learning new skills, coming up with new solutions for future hurdles will be easier, than if you just admitted defeat and paid someone else to do the work for you.

Powerful positive affirmations

Maintain positive attitude

Do not limit your thoughts of this article to only your business life, because perseverance is a mental choice that affects your whole life. Whether you are new in a job/position, business owner or a person stuck in a difficult phase; it is perseverance which will help you to get through your hurdle with a positive outcome.

Nothing is impossible; the word itself says “I’m possible”! -Audrey Hepburn

Quitting, defeat, impossible and give-up are not words that you should take lightly, because there is always a way! And no/can’t are not acceptable excuses. When you are feeling broken, exhausted in your voyage to discover a solution to your problem, try these few suggestions:

Take a break

Sometimes all that is required is a 10 minute break from your problem; to give your brain enough time to process and clarify the solution. Sometimes we get so focused on all the negativity of the problem that we fail to push ourselves to find a solution and instead just give up – If only you knew that if you had just given your brain a chance – you would have resolved the problem!

Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. -Charles Swindoll

Situation evaluation

Sit back and evaluate your situation. Write down everything you have tried and seek further solutions. Try researching stories on how other people overcame the same type of problems; and let’s face it, chances are that you are not the first person to experience this problem and it will be motivating to see that others have overcome their hurdles.

Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears. -Les Brown

Banish negative words

Nothing destroys optimism faster than negative words. This doesn’t mean that you need to escape from reality and live in an imaginary world where the odd negative word intrudes, but just that you will need to look at it from a different angle.

Change your thoughts and you change your world.-Norman Vincent Peale

Focus on what you can do, rather than what you cannot do!

When people feel pessimistic/mentally weak, they focus on the negative factors of a situation. All they see is the enormity of the challenges ahead. That way, their mind is overpowered by the heavy, negative difficulties and they can no longer see themselves as winners.

Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve. -Napoleon Hill

Remember no one can make you feel inferior without your consent. -Eleanor Roosevelt

Be careful not to give the power of control for your life to someone else!

It is easy to say “I can’t anymore” or “I give-up”, but once you give away the control over your life, you give away the control over your future. You are the only one who should be in-charge of the decisions made on your life. Many people feel that it is easy to just walk away from the problem, but the truth is accept it is a challenge and face it with all strength.

The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any. -Alice Walker

The most important factor about being successful at perseverance is how you push through and stay focussed on the successful outcome that you want for the situation; this will help you to achieve it. You deserve to give yourself the best opportunities that you can give yourself.
