Oh my word Cello, Cellophane, Sellotape(not Cellotape)

Have you ever thought of becoming a cellist rather than manufacturing cellophane?

Cello is a four-stringed musical instrument of the violin family. It is also called as violoncello. A person who plays the cello is a cellist. Cello is a classical western musical instrument. Musicians will turn furious if you say cello is an oversized violin!

Cellists are rare in India but there is a hope with the establishment of Symphony Orchestra of India to nurture the budding artists, and exposing them to the established cellists’ performances.

Cellophane is a transparent plastic film made of cellulose. Cellophane also functions as a verb. Its variants are cellophanes, cellophaned, cellophaning. It refers to covering, packaging or wrapping with cellophane.

Cellophane is used for many things to pack, or to stick two things together in order to bind them. Be not surprised when you find vehicles (cars) with doors or windowpanes glued to the car with cellophane instead of repairing them.

Cellophane is available in various shapes, and ways to get it out from its adhesive surface. Cellophane dispensers are gaining popularity as they are easy to get the tape out for sticking. And they usually come in golden or light yellow colours.

Cellophane noodle is the Asian noodle made out of starch and water. Such noodles can be made from the starch of mung beans, sweet potatoes, cassava, yam and canna.

Bear in mind there is also cellphone! The cell phone or mobile phone which is outsmarted by the smartphone (mobile phone) with advanced features.

Sellotape is a trademark name of the manufacturer of the transparent, or semi-transparent adhesive tape used for sealing things, attaching one thig with another, or mending something.

Scotch tape is a type of adhesive tape.

Sellotape(adhesive tape) also functions as a verb (sellotapes, sellotaped, sellotaping)meaning to attaching one thing with another with sellotape. The trademark Sellotapehas become a verb like Xerox.
