In British English, the standard spelling is licence(noun) but in American English it is license.

Licence also functions a verb, and its variants are licences, licencing, licenced (its American English equivalents are licenses, licensing, licensed).

People enjoy drinking in licensed premises otherwise they could end up behind the bars of a police station.

A licentious person is someone who lacks restraint from doing something especially those that are not customarily accepted.

Licentious is an adjective. Licentious means having no restraint, having no respect and not following societal standards especially in sexual conduct; a licentious person is someone who disregards accepted or established rules in the society.

Couples behaving licentiously (lack of control over their sexual emotions)in a public place can get into trouble with the police.

The variants of licentious are licentiously (adverb) and licentiousness(noun). Celebrities can make news with their licentiousness (debauchery).
