NTPC Ramagundam, under its CSR activity, launched 5 day rural cultural programme in 10 nearby Government High Schools, in association with SPICMACAY. As part of this, programmes were organised at Government ZPHS Anthargam and Government ZHS, Jyothinagar (TTS).

Ramagundam (Karimnagar): NTPC-Ramagundam, under its CSR activity, launched 5-day rural cultural programme in 10 nearby Government High Schools, in association with SPICMACAY. As part of this, programmes were organised at Government ZPHS Anthargam and Government ZHS, Jyothinagar (TTS).

The SPICMACAY team, comprising Y Srinivasulu (Kuchipudi), K Subrahmanyam (vocal music and Nattuvangam), P Satyanarayana (Mridangam), Kranti Narayan (dancing) and Manjusha (dancing), performed in the schools and also explained their art form.
Classical Music, Carnatic and Hindustani, Vocal and Instrumental, Classical dance forms, Folk Music and Folk dance forms and handicrafts from all over India are introduced to the students. Heritage walks were conducted and Film Classics are screened.
SPICMACAY stands for Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth and is a voluntary movement which is striving to bring an awareness of the rich cultural heritage of the country among children and youth.
The CSR team and respective school teachers and students were present in large number on the occasion.
