Narsapur: Dr CS Rao PG Centre (Sri YN College) will celebrate its silver jubilee from January 8 to 10, said college secretary and correspondent Dr C Satyanarayana Rao.

Addressing a press conference at GB Hall in YN College here on Monday, he said UGC-sponsored national seminar on “Promoting Excellence in Higher Education – Issues and Challenges” will be held in the college from January 8 to 9.
The seminar will be inaugurated by Prof. H Devaraj, Vice-Chairman, UGC, New Delhi. The inaugural address will be delivered by Prof. L Venugopal Reddy, Chairman, Andhra Pradesh Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), Hyderabad and valedictory address on January 9 will be delivered by Prof. P Vijaya Prakash, Vice-Chairman, APSCHE, Hyderabad.
The silver jubilee celebrations of PG Courses will be inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa, who will also lay a foundation stone for silver jubilee building. Minister for Human Resources Development Ganta Srinivasa Rao will lay foundation stone for Skill Development Centre and Minister for Women and Child Welfare P Sujatha will inaugurate the mineral water plant in the college.
Endowments Minister P Manikayala Rao will inaugurate the MBA Conference Hall. Annual reunion day will be celebrated on January 10. Earlier, Narsapur MLA Bandaru Madhava Naidu released the college brochure and invites of the event. Narsapur Municipal Council Chairperson P Ratnamala released the logo of PG Courses silver jubilee celebrations.
College treasurer Dr Y Gopala Krishna Murthy, principal Dr. A R S Kumar, PG director Dr. N Chinta Rao and Gandhian Studies Centre director Dr. D Venkateswara Rao, were present.
