Rajasthan to admit students on JEE Main score
Admissions to B.Tech program in engineering colleges in Rajasthan shall be on the basis of JEE Main score from the academic session 2016-17. Earlier, the admissions were made on the basis of Rajasthan Pre-Engineering Test (RPET).
Jaipur: Admissions to B.Tech program in engineering colleges in Rajasthan shall be on the basis of JEE Main score from the academic session 2016-17. Earlier, the admissions were made on the basis of Rajasthan Pre-Engineering Test (RPET).
The candidates will get relief from writing the RPET entrance examination. The aspirants will be required to register for admission through the process of REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process), and exercise option for preferred college and branch on the basis of JEE Main score.
This revised process will take effect from academic session 2016-17. Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall be on the basis of Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main).
