Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM), a premier B-school at Hyderabad, conducted a two-day national conference on January 6-7, at its campus on the theme “Make in India- The Economic imperative”. 

Hyderabad: Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM), a premier B-school at Hyderabad, conducted a two-day national conference on January 6-7, at its campus on the theme “Make in India- The Economic imperative”.

On the second day of the conference, an annual event at VJIM, three technical sessions were held on the themes-Opportunities for Women in Marketing”, “Startup India and Innovation’ and Zero defect and Zero Effect” started with the inaugural session.

Venkat Jasti, CEO of Suven Life Sciences and Dr. D. Arun Kumar, President, AGI Glass Pack, were the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. Dr. Kamal Ghosh Ray, Director, VJIM in his opening remarks dealt with the concept of make in India and related issues like Skilling India, Zero Defect and Zero effect.

Eminent speakers/practitioners from Industry, government and academics deliberated the themes and lot of valuable suggestions and insights were the carried away by the delegates and audience. The conference has concluded with the valedictory session with an address by Mukesh Gulati, Executive Director, MSME,

New Delhi who briefed on the steps being taken by Govt. Of India for encouraging MSMEs, entrepreneurship and role of manufacturing for future sustained growth of the country. . K. Harishchandra Prasad, Chairman, Governing Council, VJIM in his speech stressed the importance of such initiatives and role of manufacturing in the nation’s development.
