Gibe is a verb. Its variants are gibes, gibed, gibing, giber, gibers. Gibe means to jeer at someone; to mock or taunt at something or someone; make fun of him or her. Some people derive pleasure gibing at other’s faults.

It’s easier to gibe at others rather than to introspect about oneself. Political spokespersons are expected to be critical at other opponents but not to jibe. Gibing at his poor parents, he spent most of his working life; and he put an end to his jibes (noun) when his children started gibing (verb) him. Gibe also functions as noun, gibes is a plural noun. Gibbet means gallows. Gibbet is apost from which criminals were hung for the crimes they had committed. Giblets (plural noun) is an edible organ of a bird such as heart, liver.
